North Carolina River Conditions Improving

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- River conditions continue to improve along the Tar and Nuese Rivers as the water levels continue to fall.

The Tar River is approximately five feet above flood stage at Tarboro and about four feet above flood stage at Greenville.

The Nuese River is five feet above flood stage at Kinston and about six feet above flood stage at Goldsboro. There have been no reports of any serious flooding situations associated with the current high water.
