Texas Tornado Victims Still Need Help

TEXARAKANA, Texas -- The American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Southern Baptist Convention, the United Methodist Church and other voluntary organizations have been on hand to help tornado victims in Bowie County, Texas, with food, clothing and immediate needs.

Altogether, the agencies have served more than 15,000 meals to victims, emergency workers and volunteers. As federal and state assistance begins to flow into the area the voluntary agencies will continue to help victims with emergency recovery needs.

The need for financial contributions will grow as these agencies continue to provide help to tornado and other disaster victims in several states. The best way to help those who suffered damages and losses in the Texas tornado is by sending monetary donations to the American Red Cross or to another charitable organization.
