BOSTON, Mass. -- FEMA Region I will host a Project Impact Regional "Mentoring Congress" and the Spring National Flood Insurance Program and State Hazard Mitigation Officer meeting in Stowe, Vermont from May 17-21.

It is the intention to make both these events productive work sessions with a minimum of presentations. An agenda for the Congress will be developed around specific topics such as "How to make the most of other Federal resources" and "How to build strong community Project Impact organization."

At the conclusion of the "Mentoring Congress", Project Impact community officials would then report out findings, recommendations and issues for the State NFIP and Hazard Mitigation Officers to work on as part of their meeting.
