Alabama requests Preliminary Damage Assessments

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The governor of Alabama has requested FEMA/State joint Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) as a result of a December ice storm.

Nine Alabama counties were hit hard by a winter ice storm on Dec. 23 to Dec. 26, 1998. Joint PDA teams have begun assessing damage in Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison and Morgan counties.
