Main Content

These pages discusses Quick-2, Version 2.0 software and download instructions, including available guidance materials for users and how to subscribe to related news and information on FEMA Flood Hazard Mapping activities, including the latest on Quick-2.

Background

Quick-2 was primarily developed to accompany the FEMA technical guidance manual titled, The Zone A Manual: Managing Floodplain Development in Approximate Zone A Areas. The purpose of this manual is to provide guidance for obtaining and developing Base (100-year) Flood Elevations (BFEs) where Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) on a community's Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) or Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) have been identified and designated as Zone A. This manual is intended to assist local community officials who are responsible for administering and enforcing the floodplain management requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Quick-2 is also useful for community engineers, architectural/engineering firms, developers and others at the local level who may be required to develop BFEs.

The Quick-2 program is provided as sets of .zip files. These files include Quick-2 program files compiled for 32-bit Windows 95/98/NT systems and for 16-bit Windows 3.x systems.
