New Orleans, La.New Orleans, LA 9/7/05 -- Workers finally got the breach in the levee in the 17th Street Canal repaired. Pumps are now pumping up to 12 feet of water out of the affected neighborhoods. The helicopter is delivering three ton sandbags to repair a different breach.
