New Orleans, LA September 25, 2012 FEMA conducts kick-off meetings with support from GOHSEP to ensure applicants have the proper information to begin recovery work. Daniel Jameson FEMA Project Specialist Kick off meeting is really the first opportunity that FEMA and the applicant meet and discuss their individual situations and come up with the materials, find out what materials they absolutely need. They need to have an idea of what damages they’ve got, whether they’ve used their own personnel or they used contract labor, their own equipment, things along that line. Once the RPA comes in then the state will schedule the kick off meeting as soon as possible. Cher Moore State Applicant Liaison We’re working closely with FEMA. Daniel Jameson FEMA Project Specialist They need to bring any thing that we could get started on a project. If they used contractors, if they’ve set out bids and they’ve gotten quotes, we need those things. If they’ve got this information we can get rolling faster, with any receipts, any timesheets, what employees worked, what employees drove what vehicles or what vehicles or what equipment they used anything like that.
