Ken Dankowski
Community Relations Manager
We’re coming back to this area a couple weeks later because now we know people have registered and we want to see have you been inspected yet because that is part of the registration process that they get inspected, you know, have the received any letters from FEMA saying this or that, have they received any grants or I mean where are they in that process. Part of community relations is getting the word out to the people. So we’re going around now seeing if we can answer the simple questions that they may have. Well I’m just coming door to door make sure your registered with FEMA. The people down here at least have been through one, two, three, four, five hurricanes or live down here all their lives. People are, you know like I said, frustrated and angry but I don’t think its directed at FEMA its self but the fact that they may not understand the programs, what we pay for what we don’t pay for. The rumors we try to take care of, we try to keep our fingers on the pulse of the community, are they angry or frustrated or are they mad, what are they thinking of FEMA. If there is a problem then we try to face that problem as soon as we can.
