Livingston, LA September 17, 2012 Communication Devices are available at Disaster Recovery Centers to assist survivors who may have access and functional needs. Gay Jones Regional Disability Integration Specialist We are putting the devices in the DRC's for people with or without disabilities who may have access and functional needs and that is the our purpose of why we have the equipment here so that all people can access the DRC, there is a lot of people with disabilities that are survivors they need to be able to give FEMA the information accurate information about what they need and they need to be able to do it with the communication devices, if they can hear at all and they use American Sign Language, they can use an interpreter or they can use the video phone, they can use captel, if someone needs an amplifier phone, someone with vision loss they can use the magnifier, we also have brail.
