Jules Shabazz FEMA LRO Supervisory Contracting Officer The purpose of Industry Day is to provide information to local business of future requirements and to also gain industry insight regarding best practices and standards to assist with requirements developments. Joseph Threat FEMA LRO Acting Director Storm season is coming and what we are trying to do is being proactive get our local contractors within the state of Louisiana and within the Stafford Act we have requirements to put those dollars back into the disaster area, no better way to do that than thought our contracting companies Hans Hengens Industry Day participant I think is definitely very helpful for you know specially businesses who weren’t familiar on how to contract with the federal government. It was very helpful, very informative for me today, a lot of the stuff I was pretty much familiar with, but there were a few things that I was not aware with as far certain contracts with FEMA.
