Hi, it’s Craig Fugate, the Administrator of FEMA. Right now, I want to talk to all the FEMA employees, both those that work in the field, our disaster assistance employees, our CORE employees as well as our permanent workforce. Since I’ve been at FEMA, we’ve all been working toward increasing our capability to respond as one team and as part of that we recognize that everybody at FEMA needs to be prepared to support the team in a major disaster. We’ve said this before and that everybody is an emergency manager at FEMA. Now we want to make sure that we support that through our workforce initiatives. Such tools such as our FEMA qualification system to ensure that people are trained to standards and then we use those qualifications in determining how we deploy to support our state and local partners. Things such as again looking at how do we grow and expand our team and provide career paths for our employees, to ensure that they’re given the opportunity to grow and prepare themselves to support the mission. So this web site will be updated periodically to keep you informed about the things we’re doing here FEMA to get ready before the next disaster. If you’re not a FEMA employee and you’re watching this, we encourage you to take efforts to make sure you’re prepared and continue your professional development if you’re an emergency manager. But here at FEMA, our commitment is to continue to grow and build our team and our workforce initiatives as part of that commitment to each and every employee to ensure that we’re ready to go when the nation needs us. Check back often and come to this website for updates on our workforce initiatives. Thank you.
