Baton Rouge, LA FEMA 101 FEMA educates Louisiana legislators on preparedness and federal programs. Today we are at the State Capital at the John Hankel briefing room. FEMA is presenting its 101 for state legislators. This would be an outreach opportunity for us to make legislators all across the state familiar with FEMA's programs, how they interact, what the eligibility criteria are for individuals and for Public Assistance. In addition to talking about where we are with the previous four hurricanes, we'll also be discussing what government can do to prepare for another event. I'm thinking today was very productive for lots of people especially the ones who never had an opportunity yet to work with FEMA. I think it's just long over due to have a beginner's class. At the end of the day, it's really about the people that we both serve. And how we can better maximize that and make it work for the people back home who really hold us both accountable for what's going on.
