Weather wise, here is what the Region IX area is looking like today:
AZ An area of low pressure over the Mojave Desert will combine with marginal moisture and instability to allow isolated thunderstorms to develop...mainly this afternoon and evening.
CA Extreme Southwestern CA: Isolated thunderstorms possible with strong...gusty winds and a few lightning strikes in the mountains and deserts through this evening.
HI Wind Advisory now in effect until 6 pm HST. Expect winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 50 mph.
NV Southern Nevada: isolated thunderstorms in Mojave region, gusty winds likely.
