This weekend we’re conducting a blitz. I’m Jeff from FEMA community relations.” We’re going door to door in all of the heavily impacted areas, talking to the residents and making sure that all of their needs have been met. We have combined teams of people from FEMA and North Carolina State Emergency Management. During this blitz this weekend we’re out here with FEMA because, even though these communities, well most all of them have already been canvassed, people have been contacted, we want to make sure from the state side as well as FEMA, that nobody’s missed, everybody’s given the opportunity to learn about any kind of benefits that might be available to them. I appreciate the fact that FEMA is down here, trying to help the people in dead need. There’s so many that do need it, have lost everything. Any help at all would be appreciated because we just have wind and not flood insurance. I actually spoke to three FEMA people and they were very kind and informative on everything. Today I was contacted again and it’s been quite impressive. Two, three I think four times and also by telephone, and paper mail, by written mail, at my temporary address. Storm survivors, they have questions about where they can get help, when they’re going to get help, what kind of help they can get.
