My main concern for the first 3 or 4 days I was volunteer search and rescue. Four days later, you try to find a place to rent and there wasn’t nothing. We don’t have anybody in Joplin or in this area and by the time we could look for a place to live, they were all rented.

This isn’t home but it’s very nice. And I really appreciate it. We’ve been married 11 years going on 12 in October. We had my daughter in October.

She is 11 and Dylan he’s 10. He likes playing football. My oldest is a cheerleader and she does Special Olympics too. My youngest is a cheerleader and she loves to sing.

It’s been very stressful but we’re more thankful now for everything. We appreciate the little things. Can’t take things for granted. Sometimes we ask “Why me?” But I don’t know.
