(After a disaster, the speed of business recovery can greatly affect the speed at which people recover) (Representatives of FEMAs Private Sector Division reach out to business and other organizations to assist and speed recovery) We know that businesses have probably been affected in three ways Some directly with physical damages for some businesses Some where they released employees to go ahead and sandbag their homes or help friends and neighbors take care of loved ones. And the third way is just the economic damage they may have had because they had to be closed for a certain period of time, especially if they were deemed non-essential businesses and were asked to close during the flood emergency. Today we're with the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo-Moorhead. There are somewhere between five hundred and a thousand business people that are gather in this facility to network, to talk with one another , to get to know each other better And we are a part of that. The Private Sector Division is a part of that networking opportunity. One of the reasons we're here today, and one of the reasons we go through booth to booth And introduce ourselves is so that the businesses, small, medium and large know that they do have somebody standing side by side with them. And that is FEMAs Private Sector Division. FEMA on the ground helping them to sort through what they've lost, what sort of help they need, what sort of help the federal government can provide them is really an essential service of the federal government through FEMA here in the Red River Valley. We're sharing information, We're really delivering that there is a point of contact. That is the Private Sector Division out of FEMA for the business community.
