Hi it's Craig Fugate at FEMA, and yes we have the first named storm of the Pacific hurricane season, Adrian. What does that mean for people on the gulf coast, the Atlantic and Caribbean areas? Well it means that we’ve already seen a storm on the west coast, fortunately it's not impacting land yet. But it serves as a reminder that the Atlantic hurricane season which began on June 1st is underway. Currently the tropics are quiet but we don't know for how long. Don't wait until there is a named storm bearing down on your community, prepare now. Go to ready.gov and get your disaster plan before the next storm strikes. Thank you.
