Hi my name is Bond Luddeke. I'm the Incident Support Base Manager here at Maxwell Air Force Base. FEMA is working in conjunction with the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, the Alabama Forestry Commission, of course, DHS and the military in providing relief efforts for the tornado
victims of the latest storms that hit Alabama. Basically what we're doing is providing commodity relief such as water, food,
tarps to cover houses, emergency medical kits, generators to provide power to the survivors of the tornadoes. We're working very closely with military and our civilian partners in providing transportation of these commodities to the state and the various areas that need assistance. (I'd) like to say
we are working greatly in concert with Alabama EMA, and we're also providing Disaster Relief support in terms of what we call an mDRC or a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center that is a mobile unit where the public can go and file claims and receive information and relief efforts. We have so many unfortunate victims who have lost everything and unfortunately lost loved ones, we want to able to provide support to help get the communities back on their feet, rebuild their lives, and hopefully approach normalcy as
quickly as possible.
