ACE Hardware, here in Atlanta. They have been very good with us, letting us put a FEMA table here and when people come to the store, we speak with them and we explain all the things that they can do like applying for FEMA and where they must go and all the things about floods and planning in advance (of a disaster). We are trying to interact with the people who come here, and since 7:30 this morning we have spoken with about twenty-five people. People seem very contented with that, because when a disaster happens and people generally really do not know what to do and people like this assistance; that saves time for many people. That is what we do in this part of FEMA Mitigation. This section of Mitigation is a section that takes care of giving people information that have damages, when they suffer damages, in any type of disaster. We talk to them here about the way the clean and to eradicate mold that grows very quickly when any water accumulations and the surfaces are warm. We explain to create a plan before the disaster. We are speaking on protection for the windows, and that, without protection, can be very expensive, even buying gasoline. Exactly that is what we are doing, explaining to everyone to be prepared. To do this type of work makes me feel very good. I have approximately 6 years with FEMA and have worked with FEMA all over the country from New Hampshire to Washington State, and always whenever I do this work people really appreciate that we care about them including all people who have problems with maintaining and fixing their houses and all those things, when there is somebody who cares to help, people really appreciate that, and its very good what we are doing. Although many people do not understand that we do, FEMA really helps people, and that's why we are here.
