Yesterday, the President declared that a 
major disaster exists due to the tsunami 
that struck American Samoa.  
We're working with the governor of Samoa 
in getting resources in. 
There are already today the Federal 
Coordinating Officer flew in on a C-130 
that the Coast Guard has that brought in 
the inital teams and some of the initial 
resources and continuing today and 
tomorrow more resources will be flying in. 
Right now our focus is supporting the 
governor's team is on life safety and 
life-sustaining activities and that 
response is going to continue until we're 
getting to the point where we can 
stabilize the island after this disaster.
