Winter Storm Preparedness Tips
A new FEMA preparedness newsletter focusing on winter storms is now available online.
This is the first in what will be a series of preparedness newsletters under the banner, "Are You Ready?"
This issue tells people how to prepare for winter storms, including compiling an emergency survival kit, and what to do if they are trapped in a car during bad weather. It also offers safety tips to protect people from carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and frostbite during winter weather.
Future issues will stress preparedness for hurricanes, floods and other disasters.
