  • Operation Photo Rescue, a non-profit organization, helps families whose photos were damaged by flooding associated with Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. Survivors brought up to 20 photos each to be scanned and restored, free of charge, at the Home Depot in Seaside Heights, N.J.

  • New Jersey Governor Chris Christie celebrates the opening of Belmar's boardwalk on the New Jersey shore.  The boardwalk  had been destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. The opening of the boardwalk is crucial to the economic viability of the community.   With FEMA's assistance, the opening is major step forward in the community's recovery from Hurricane Sandy.

    New Jersey Governor Chris Christie celebrates the opening of Belmar's boardwalk on the New Jersey shore. The boardwalk had been destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. The opening of the boardwalk is crucial to the economic viability of the community. With FEMA's assistance, the opening is major step forward in the community's recovery from Hurricane Sandy.

  • The Oceanport Borough Hall has been damaged by water from Superstorm Sandy, including the library and all of its contents, which is located in the building. Having to replace everything lost in the storm, the library reopens today in their new expanded space at the hall.
