    On November 27th, 2012, FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate traveled to Connecticut to meet with state and local officials and to view the damages caused by Hurricane Sandy.
  • Administrator Craig Fugate met with Conn. Governor Dannel P. Malloy and other state and local dignitaries, and viewed the damage along Connecticut's coastline.  The Administrator attended a press conference in Bridgeport where he confirmed FEMA's support to the state.

Small businesses, and most non-profit organizations can apply for working capital loans to cover operating expenses during federally declared disasters.

    Bain's Hardware, a local hardware store in Sea Bright, reopens due to efforts of community, friends and Benjamin Moore Company after Hurricane Sandy. The store was flooded with over 4 feet of sea water which destroyed their inventory and damaged the store. After six weeks they are one of the first businesses to reopen in Sea Bright, NJ.
