Moore, Okla., Aug. 30, 2013 -- U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Administrator Tammye Treviño (left) and Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin (center) tour a newly installed kitchen in Moore. Rebuilding is underway in Moore, where HUD just announced that the city will receive $26.3 million in a Community Development Block Grant following the EF-5 tornado that struck in May 2013. In addition, the State of Oklahoma will receive $10.6 million to support local recovery efforts following more powerful storms that occurred May 18 - June 2.
