West, Texas, May 7, 2013 -- Ben Harris (center), of the Huckabee architectural firm in Dallas, explains how the April 17 fertilizer plant explosion could have damaged the athletic facilities at West Middle School for Marty Crawford (left), superintendent of the West Independent School District, and Pat Hanger (right), a Federal Emergency Management Agency public assistance worker. They are part of a joint state-federal preliminary damage assessment team compiling a report of the damage done to public infrastructure as a result of the blast.
