Mandeville, La., Sep. 10, 2012 -- A home in the old section of Mandeville, La. demonstrate the difference in damage suffered after Hurricane Isaac swept through the area. This house suffered minimal flood damage because it was elevated after Hurricane Katrina and had little water damage. FEMA is working with local, state and other federal agencies to provide assistance to homeowners who want to raise their homes to the current recommended height of at least 12 feet above the ground.
