Kenner, La., May 31, 2012 -- Environmental Protection Specialist Kevin Mannie participates in the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Evacuation Exercise as a hurricane evacuee. He is assisted by a data management specialist who scans in his barcode to ensure his name and other information is in the flight manifest database. The purpose of the exercise was two-fold, to discuss procedures for aircraft and bus movements and to rehearse critical transportation needs evacuee manifesting and screening procedures during a potential air evacuation for a major hurricane event in southeast Louisiana.
