FEMA Specialists respond quickly to disaster in New Jersey

Ewing, N.J., September 5, 2011 -- FEMA leadership coordinates its statewide response to requests for assistance from New Jersey disaster survivors as a result of the extensive wind and flooding damage inflicted by Hurricane Irene on August 28, 2011. FEMA Specialists Sal Zaffuto, David Jones and Violeta Rivera are working quickly from a temporary office at the New Jersey State Police Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Trenton where FEMA has set up an "Incident Command Center" (ICS) while a Joint Field Office (JFO) is being prepared by FEMA Logistics in the city of Neptune.
