Pago Pago, American Samoa, October 5, 2009 --  A Coast Guard plane that is evacuating an infant to Hawaii prepares to leave American Samoa.  The Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) deployed to American Samoa assisted with the evacuation.  DMATs are part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Disaster Medical System which supports hospitals and other medical and public health needs of communities during disasters such as the earthquake and tsunami disaster in American Samoa.
