Baton Rouge, La., March 6, 2006 - Mobile homes and travel trailers are both supplied by FEMA as temporary housing options at FEMA/State developed group sites for homeowners or renters whose residences are unlivable as a result of the disaster. Travel trailers are meant for shorter durations and are more maneuverable and easy to set up near the flood-victim's home. Mobile homes are a bit larger and better suited for longer-term usage, but cannot be placed in the floodplain. Robert Kaufmann/FEMA
