Environmental Assessment for City of Batesville Pedestrian Bridge Replacement, Independence County, Arkansas (April 2011)

Main Content
The City of Batesville has applied for funding under FEMA’s Public Assistance Grant Program to construct a replacement pedestrian bridge in a new location, crossing the Stillhouse Branch of the White River. The original bridge was damaged by severe flooding along the Poke Bayou in March 2008. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations implementing NEPA at 44 CFR Part 10, an Environmental Assessment has been prepared to assess the potential impacts of the proposed project on the human and natural environment.
