The City of Joliet was awarded funding for the construction of a new fire station under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-Assistance to Firefighters Station Construction Grant, administered by FEMA. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations for implementing NEPA at 44 CFR Part 10, an Environmental Assessment has been prepared to evaluate the potential impacts of the project on the environment.
