Environmental Assessment for USM Marine Education Center, Ocean Springs, Mississippi (June 2010)

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) has applied for funding under FEMA’s Public Assistance grant program to construct a new Marine Education Center at the USM teaching site at Cedar Point in Ocean Springs. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations implementing NEPA at 44 CFR Part 10, an Environmental Assessment has been prepared to evaluate the potential impacts of the proposed project on the human and natural environment.
