The need for the proposed action is to restore the community’s senior center and its auxiliary structures which were destroyed on September 24, 2005 by Hurricane Rita. As a result of Hurricane Rita, the senior center facilities in Cameron were damaged to such an extent that FEMA has approved the replacement of the facility along with two connected structures.
