Environmental Assessment for Fire Station/EMS Facility, City of Newton, Kansas (January 2010)

The City of Newton has applied for funding under FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters- Station Construction Grant program to construct a new fire station/EMS facility. The funding is available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations for implementing NEPA at 44 CFR Part 10, an Environmental Assessment has been prepared to evaluate the potential impacts of the project on the environment.
