Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the East Lents Floodplain Restoration Project, Portland, Oregon (April 2009)
The City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services has applied for funding under FEMA’s Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program grant to implement a flood mitigation project. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, FEMA previously prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the project to assess potential environmental impacts. However, it has since been determined that additional acreage was needed to meet the overall objectives of the project to increase floodplain storage and conveyance capacity in southeast Portland. Therefore, this document provides the results of the re-evaluation as a supplement to the original EA.
