Finding of No Significant Impact for Alternative Housing Pilot Program Ephesus Group Housing Site, Westwego,Jefferson Parish, Louisiana

The purpose of this action is to provide alternative disaster housing within Jefferson Parish within the State of Louisiana that include long-term and permanent solutions. The need for this action is to address the housing shortages caused by the catastrophic effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and to move disaster victims from current temporary solutions (e.g., rental dwellings, manufactured housing, etc.) to permanent housing. The Louisiana Recovery Authority proposes the construction of the Ephesus Group Housing Site, which would be comprised of 30 single-family AHPP units (Louisiana Cottages) on a 3.0 acre site at the 800 block of Wayne Avenue in Westwego, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
