Environmental Assessment for Val Reiss Park, St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana (August 2008)

FEMA is proposing to provide funding under its Public Assistance Program to repair, restore and replace facilities at Val Reiss Park that were damaged during Hurricane Katrina (FEMA-1603-DR-LA). In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the President’s Council on Environmental Quality regulations implementing NEPA (40 CFR 1500-1508), and FEMA’s regulations implementing NEPA (44 CFR Parts 9 and 10), an Environmental Assessment has been prepared to evaluate potential impacts of the proposed project on the human environment.
