HAZUS-MH Application: Critical Facilities Exposure to Wind: Jackson County, Mississippi
The HAZUS-MH map series templates serve many purposes. HAZUS User Groups (HUGs) can use the maps for public awareness and outreach. Emergency managers and decision makers can use the maps to show the application of HAZUS-MH to support rapid impact assessment and disaster response for earthquake, hurricane and flood emergencies. Some of the potential uses for this map include: (Pre-event) update inventory of critical facilities; (Post-event) identification of critical facilities and their exposure to peak gust winds; (Post-event) Combine with SLOSH/surge analysis to identify critical facilities exposed to both wind and surge.
