Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the City of San Diego Vegetation Management Project (December 20007)

The City of San Diego has applied for funding under FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) to conduct vegetation management on City-owned lands. HMGP funding would be awarded presidential disaster declarations FEMA-1577-DR-CA and FEMA-1585-DR-CA for the severe storms that occurred in Southern California between December 2004 and February 2005. This Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) tiers from the Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Typical Recurring Actions Resulting from Flood, Earthquake, Fire, Rain, and Wind Disasters in California (2003). This SEA has been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations implementing NEPA. It identifies and evaluates the potential impacts of the proposed project on the human and natural environment. Note: Please contact Alessandro Amaglio, FEMA Region IX, 1111 Broadway, Suite 1200, Oakland, CA 94607-4052 (telephone: 510.627.7027) for copies of Figures A-1 through A-10.
