Mitigation Planning Interim Final Rule (February 26, 2002)
To implement the planning requirements in the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA 2000), FEMA published an Interim Final Rule (“this Rule”) in the FEDERAL REGISTER on February 26, 2002. This Rule, which updated the FEMA regulations for mitigation planning cited in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) at Title 44, Chapter 1, Part 201 (44 CFR Part 201), specifies the criteria for approval of mitigation plans required in Section 322 of the DMA 2000.
