Environmental Assessment for Highway Garage Facility, Town of Afton, Chenango County, New York (April 2011)
FEMA proposes to provide funding under its Public Assistance Grant Program for construction of a new highway garage facility in the Town of Afton at 1418 State Route 7. The new facility would functionally replace the Town’s former highway garage on Court Street, which was severely damaged during a 2006 storm event, condemned, and demolished. FEMA has prepared an Environmental Assessment to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of the proposed project in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and FEMA's implementing regulations at 44 CFR Part 10.
