Environmental Assessment for the City of Bayou La Batre Redevelopment, Mobile County, Alabama (December 2007)

The City of Bayou La Batre has applied for FEMA funding under the Alternative Housing Pilot Program and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program to assist in the redevelopment of the City’s housing and the domestic and industrial wastewater infrastructure following extensive damages caused by Hurricane Katrina. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and FEMA’s regulations implementing NEPA, a comprehensive Environmental Assessment has been prepared to identify and evaluate the potential impacts of the proposed redevelopment activities on the environment.
