Appendix C. Section 106 National Historic Preservation Act Consultation Letter
This letter submitted to Iowa's State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) on July 26, 2011 presents the findings of the Phase 1 Archaeological Survey requested by FEMA in November 2010.     The correspondence seeks to establish that SHPO concurs with the archaeological survey methodology and findings as well as FEMA's Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation Branch finding that "no historic properties will be affected as a result of the proposed action pursuant to 36 CFR Part 800."     The SHPO concurrance is dated August 15, 2011.
