What is the Map 
Service Center? 

The Federal Emergency 
Management Agency’s 
(FEMA) Map Service 
Center (MSC) is the official 
government distribution 
center for digital and paper 
flood hazard mapping 
products created by FEMA 
in support of the National 
Flood Insurance Program 
(NFIP). Products and 
services are accessible 
online at msc.fema.gov.

Hazus-MH software can now be ordered via the Internet! 

As part of our continuing efforts to improve the Hazus 

program, the distribution of the software is now being 

managed by the FEMA Map Service Center (MSC) utilizing 

the MSC Web store. 

How to order your Free Copy of Hazus-MH 

1) Set-up an account 


FEMA, FEMA Contractors, Federal, State and Local officials will first 

need to contact MSC Customer Service (MSC) at 1-877-336-2627 to register 

with the MSC and receive an account number. All other customers can go 
directly to the website to register at msc.fema.gov. 

2) Placing your Order 


To order online, visit the Product Catalog, which is available from the MSC 
Web Store home page at msc.fema.gov. If you don’t have access to online 
ordering, please contact the MSC Customer Support Center at 
1-877-336-2627. 

Compatibility/supporting software 

. Microsoft Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 Professional/Enterprise. 
. ESRI ArcGIS 10.0 SP 2. Only US English versions are supported.* 
. ESRI Spatial Analyst extension required with flood model. 


*Hazus-MH installation will allow users to install Hazus-MH on other operating 
systems/service packs, but results are not guaranteed with those other operating 
systems/service packs.
