APPENDIX A MAPS Figure 1. Vicinity Map for the Joplin, Missouri Temporary Housing Site Selection Airport Site 2, prepared by U.S Army Corp of Engineers (USACE). The Site Map depicts the identified temporary housing pads to be placed on the airport parcels located along Hwy 171 in Joplin, Missouri. Figure 3. Google Earth FEMA Flood Layer of the proposed temporary housing site project area within the Joplin city limits. Per the FEMA Flood layer, the temporary housing pads are located in a Zone X, outside of the 100-year floodplain. Figure 8. FAA Noise Map of proposed temporary housing site. Figure 9. Hazardous Substance Site Map of proposed temporary housing site. APPENDIX B PHOTOGRAPHS Photographs were provided by Google Earth. Figure 11. Photograph #1: Aerial view of Joplin, Missouri F5 Tornado Path. APPENDIX C CORRESPONDENCE Figure 2. Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) clearance letter and completed AD-1006 Farmland Conversion Impact Rating form to USACE indicating that the entire project area is located within the Joplin city limits and no Prime Farmland will be converted, therefore the Farmland Protection Policy Act (FPPA) does not apply for this project. Figure 4. Wetland Delineation and EPA Clearance email correspondence to USACE indicating that the identified isolated seasonal wetlands located on the site where FEMA will construct temporary housing pads that will require isolated wetlands to be filled, in order to accommodate temporary trailers, access roads and utility hook-ups will not pose a concern with EPA Region VII or HQ for a wetland determination under Section 404. Figure 5. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) clearance email correspondence for Endangered Species Act (ESA) to USACE indicating there are no federally listed species in the project area, so there will be no effect, therefore USFWS has no further comments on impacts to fish and wildlife resources. Figure 6. Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) Determination of No Effect email correspondence to USACE indicating there are no state endangered species or species of conservation concern in the project area, therefore, it is unlikely there will be impacts to state-listed species. Figure 7. SHPO Determination of No Effect email correspondence to USACE indicating that they concur with determination that the area has a low potential for occurrence of archaeological sites and there will be 'no historic properties affected' for this federal undertaking. Figure 10. Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Environmental Services Program clearance email correspondence to USACE indicating no hazardous substance concerns with this site.
