Floods are the most common and costly natural disaster in the United States and there are steps you can take now to protect your family and home from future floods. The “Know Your Line: Be Flood Aware” initiative encourages communities to post signs showing how high flood waters have risen in the past and help residents better understand – and protect themselves – from future devastating events.
