Reilly School Students Write To Children Hit By Hurricane Georges

I am writing because I heard that Hurricane Georges hit part of your region. I feel bad for your region. Here in Chicago, we don't have hurricanes. Instead, we have tornadoes, thunder storms and lightning. I am going to ask you some questions: Were you close to the hurricane? How did you feel? Was your house hit? I hope not.
Sincerely, Eric

I am writing to you because I heard Hurricane Georges passed through your area. I hope everybody is OK. It must have been hard for you going through a hurricane. You must be brave. I don't know how bad a hurricane is. I just know how bad a thunderstorm and very cold days are. It must be hard losing your things. I hope everything is back to normal. I wish you good luck.
Sincerely, Jesus

I feel very bad because it's not fair that you went through a hurricane. In Chicago, we get thunderstorms or maybe a flood. Are you OK from the Hurricane?

I heard your state was affected by Hurricane Georges. I feel terrible that you have to go through this. I hope nobody got hurt bad. Was the hurricane scary for you? Here in Chicago we have tornadoes. Tornadoes are very strong. They damage everything. They blow things in the air. They can pick up your house.

How was the hurricane? I hard it was really bad. The difference between the Central Plains and the Gulf area is that the Gulf is by the ocean. The ocean's big waves make hurricane. Well, I hop you and your family are OK.
Wishing you the best, Krystal
