Pointer Ridge Elementary School Disaster Preparedness Day

Pointer Ridge Elementary School, in Maryland, held a Disaster Preparedness Day on June 8. The school is serving as a pilot program for disaster awareness and preparedness education.

Students in second and third grade did drawings and collages of stormy weather, including tornadoes. Click here for some of the artwork. Students in the fifth grade wrote reports on different types of disasters.
