FEMA Logistics Has Major Success With New Training Event in Colorado

FEMA’s Logistics Management Directorate received a large, enthusiastic response from a wide cross-section of its federal partners with the hosting of a newly-condensed version of its popular Interagency Logistics Course (L675) held December 3-5 in Colorado Springs, CO.

The training event ,(training course code S674), and jointly held by FEMA Logistics along with General Services Administration and United States NORTHCOM’s J4 Logistics, focused on Whole Community Logistics, with a concentration on Emergency Support Function 7 Logistics and Defense Support of Civil Authorities coordination, collaboration and communication. 

This condensed course saw a full cross-section of federal and military partners participating in it, including representatives from American Red Cross, General Services Administration, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, US NORTHCOM, National Guard Bureau Headquarters, FEMA Region 8 Mass Care, as well as  the U.S. Third Fleet. The State of Colorado’s Emergency Management staff, Colorado National Guard representatives, the Federal Coordinating Officer Cadre, Incident Management Assistance Team West also took part in the training, which, in light of the successful reception, LMD leadership is now considering offering in conjunction with other major federal partners in the future.
